Château Bastor-Lamontagne is located 40 km south of Bordeaux, in Preignac, one of five communes in the Sauternes appellation. The vines grow on terraces left behind by the Garonne river.

Château Bastor-Lamontagne belongs to Foncier-Vignobles.

The estate has 56 hectares of vines, including 52 in a single block. The soil is largely siliceous-gravel with pockets of mixed clay and gravel. The grape varieties are 80% Sémillon, 17% Sauvignon Blanc, and 3% Muscadelle, and the average age of the vines is 37 years.

Bastor-Lamontagne is well-balanced and concentrated, with an expressive bouquet of orange peel and tropical fruit along with wonderful complexity and remarkable length.
