STUDIES ON BORDEAUX WINES AND GROWTHS

Chateau Camensac

Haut-Médoc

5ème Grand Cru Classé

last update : Sunday 24 January 2010

The main part of the château is an 18th century manor house located between châteaux Belgrave and La Tour Carnet.
Château Camensac consists of two separate plots. The largest one surrounds the château and the second one is 1 km to the North-West. The vineyard is well-situated on a gravelly rise with iron pan suboil.
Camensac generally produces well done wines, but whose rustic side can surprise less informed consumers. It requires to age a few year.
