STUDIES ON BORDEAUX WINES AND GROWTHS

Chateau d'Agassac

Haut-Médoc

Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

last update : Sunday 27 November 2011

Dating back to the 14th century, Château d'Agassac is one of the Médoc's few remaining feudal castles.

The vines are an average of 35 years old.

The 38 hectare vineyard boasts a deep, well-drained, warm gravel soil with good sun exposure. Château d'Agassac is an elegant wine that beautifully reflects the best Cabernet can do in the Médoc.

In the Bottle

Château d'Agassac is one of the Haut-Médoc appellation's leading wines, and represents one of the most attractive quality/price ratios on the Left Bank. Several years ago, Château d'Agassac pioneered the use of screw caps for their "grand vin".
