Château Angludet's 32 hectares of vines are located on a Garonne gravel plateau in the Margaux appellation overlooking the Gironde estuary.
The subsoil - quite meager, as at many Margaux estates - makes for fine, elegant wine. The vines are an average 25 years old with 6,666 vines per hectare.
Angludet is easy to drink and fairly reasonably priced, but its quality could clearly be better, especially in certain great vintages (i.e. 2000 and 2005) that have turned out to be rather disappointing in comparison to other wines of the Margaux area.
