De Malle belongs to Countess de Bournazel, who relies on an experienced team to make the wine. She is currently assisted by her oldest son, Paul-Henry.

The estate has of 28 hectares of vines in a single block in the Sauternes appellation. The vineyard is located at an average altitude on a rolling plateau with siliceous, sandy, and clay-gravel soil. The average age of the vines is 30-40 years, with a density of 6,300 vines/hectare. The grape varieties are 70% Sémillon, 28% Sauvignon Blanc, and 2% Muscadelle.
