Located in Fronsac, Château la Dauphine has 31 hectares of vines overlooking the Dordogne River.

The estate is currently managed by owner Jean Halley and his son, Guillaume.

The 20-hectare vineyard has a clay-limestone and Fronsac molasse soil and a density of 6,300 vines/hectare, with 1.5 meters between the vines. Grape varieties consist of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 33 years.

In the Bottle

Château La Dauphine faithfully reflects its terroir is most often well-balanced and concentrated. Yields are 40-45 hectoliters/hectare for a production of about 80,000 bottles a year.
