Château Veyry belongs to Christian Veyry, who became the right arm of the famous enologist Michel Rolland in the 1980s.

Château Veyry is located in the Côtes de Castillon appellation overlooking the Dordogne River. The first vintage dates from 1997.

The 3.5 hectare slope vineyard faces due south and is partly terraced. The soil is clay, clay-limestone, and clay-sand. Grape varieties consist of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 25 years.

In the Bottle

Château Veyry is a powerful, concentrated and fruity wine with overtones of leather and velvety tannin on the palate. It reaches its peak 5-8 years after the vintage, depending on the year.
