Bouscaut, with its beautiful 18th century château, was bought in 1979 by Lucien Lurton, the owner of Brane Cantenac and Durfort-Vivens. Located on a sandy-gravel-clay rise with limestone bedrock, this estate produces red wines made primarily from Merlot.
