STUDIES ON BORDEAUX WINES AND GROWTHS

Merlot blanc

Merlot Blanc, reminiscent of its red homonym, is mainly used in Côtes de Bourg region where the grapes are crushed, and after very brief skin contact, the resulting pink juice is run off the must to then be fermented. Merlot Blanc is a regular grape whose wine has a hint of raspberry flavour, but lacks special features and often does not compare well with other more distinctive grape varieties.
